That game isn't NPCs! It's multiplayer, letters are written by other players :)

For clarity, I was saying that kind words was a good suggestion. Everything after "word" just qualified that

Ahhh! Yeah I totally forgot about MMOs for a minute (was thinking about single-player games), but they're another great idea! And even with single player games, a lot of them have online communities of people doing fan art or fics so you don't have to be 100% isolated.
