Indeed. I acknowledge this to be the case but I hated 9 years of compulsory tie wearing and find that my brain struggles to get that some people like them and wear them voluntarily.

My dad, a retired priest, doesn't get to church these days (issues with his and my mother's mobility), but when he did he'd wear a suit and a bow tie on Sundays.

Now that's just pleasing eccentricity...

I mean, I'm biased, but Dad does look smart in a bow tie.
