The problem is that while many people do regularly criticize Israel’s war crimes without being antisemitic, just enough people are out there doing it in, like, and absolutely OBVIOUSLY anti-Semitic way that those who want to use that s an excuse can continue to do so.

I feel like one person doing it would be enough for them to use that excuse so it’s kinda moot

While I grant it's possible for people to make the accusation in bad faith and without real basis, there are two ways you can respond to that. Folks can develop some kind of basic expertise that allows them to engage with the accusation on its terms Or do the other thing, as this guy suggests.

But if you do the other thing, if you throw up your hands and say "I don't care about antisemitism," or worse, "Guess I'm antisemitic" — then how wrong were the accusations to begin with?
