The in-house hairdresser at my mum's nursing home has practically shaved her head. It's down to the skin on the sides with a couple of inches of hair on the top of her head. I'm so sad for her. She didn't want my daughter take a photo of her for me, today. 😢 Why would they do this to an old lady?
The facility she is in must by law have a complaint process or feedback form so you can formally investigate. Ask to see the hairdresser's qualification. They must be qualified to deliver such a service into aged care. If not, they have broken the NACQSI and will probably face no consequences at all
My Dad had a full Santa beard. We asked to have it trimmed slightly. They shaved it off complete. We were livid. Made sure there was a very big note to never do that again!
