It unfortunately makes sense to me. A lot of people not voting because they weren’t “enthused.” Or because of Gaza. Trump doing a lot better among Latinos and a little better with black men. Trump nearly won the electoral college in 2020 despite getting 7 million fewer votes.

I use the NY case as an example. The county they are investigating is a D district. Voted blue up and down. The gop senate candidate got 65k votes (roughly) the Dem senator got 75-77k. That’s what she got last time too. Trump, in this same district, got 83k. These are the concerns

There is this young lady I know. On the last day of voter registration last year I ran into her and asked if she had registered. She hadn’t. Didn’t vote. Ran into her recently and she was complaining about facism. We can’t have a democracy if so many people don’t participate in it.

Yes, Latino vote’s been shifting away from Rs over last several election cycles, unfortunately, across many diff grps of Latinos. It’s now roughly 50/50, and of course the shift is even bigger w Latino men. This plus loss of white working class is lethal to Ds unless we can reverse some of it.
