Of course that would be unconstitutional and very much NOT a return to “normalcy” or democracy or the rule of law. Unless by “bowed down” you mean that they committed some specific crime for which the law mandates arrest and seizure of assets, but that does not appear to be what you mean.

You cannot just let people obey illegal orders from a would-be dictator and then just say "Hey, we're cool now" if we do get to replace him with a Democrat in 2028. They will keep on being fascist and undermining the entire country if they can just get away with it.
