Spent the week with relatives at Okanagan Lake. It was crowded but fun. A family of 3 couldn’t find a spot on the beach so we gave up some of our loungers and invited them to sit next to us. Very nice couple with super polite boy. A few hours later my niece lost her glasses in the lake. /1

A half dozen children playing on a large green water trampoline on Okanagan Lake. The mountains provide a pretty backdrop.

She pointed out where she dropped them. It was by the water trampoline so it’s deep. The couple next to us looked at their son and said, “In for an adventure?” He smiled and donned some goggles and swam out to that spot. The other kids helped him by keeping their boards there for him to rest on. /2

Then 15 minutes later, he came out of the water with something in his hand. It was her glasses. The beach exploded in cheers because no one thought he’d find them. My brother-in-law asked him what he wanted and he said “Ice cream please!” /3

Hunter, if you ever read this, I hope you know you’re now a legend in our family lore and several of my nieces have a tiny crush on you. /fin
