You are utterly missing my point
You are utterly missing my point
I mean by giving the opinion as “cancellable” I feel like you had to know people could possibly disagree. And beyond that, I think the concept of reading goes beyond the act of input.
Not to mention the high number of people who when reading have a voice in their head that reads it aloud. So basically an audio book, we’re just quibbling about the narrator.
I’m more quibbling when people say they read a book when they listened to an audiobook.
And I’m saying I personally would consider that person to have read the book. They took in the same words you did, their brain processed it the same way. (If they’re one of those who hear the things they read in their head, even less difference, cause then it’s just the voice saying it aloud)
So my daughter read dozens of books before she could read.
I mean both stimulate the brain the same (positive) way. She got the same words, heard the same story, processed it the same way. So I'd say yes.
If you go on any book spaces you’ll see how every month someone posts that it isn’t reading, sometimes for clout because they know the response, and they get slaughtered. Because it is reading. Every writer I know or follow says it is & I think they are experts 🤷🏻♀️ It’s also ableist to say it’s not
I’m not saying it’s lesser. I’m saying it’s different.
I’ll just hide all my audiobook reviews from you 😉
Hahaha No problem Hey it IS my most cancellable take
