Oh, indeed. Have you heard the audio commentary on the DVDs with Schrader's and Harlin's version? They try to hide the troubles - but this production truly was cursed. :)

Harlin no (i just saw the film once in theater), Schrader yes. I really like Shrader's version.

Mee too. Schrader's version is probably the closest to what Frankenheimer's would've been.
