Hey Gov. Pritzker, how about flying some politicians to Chicago to address *our* gerrymandering issue, if only to make it simpler to install protected bike lanes? 😉 chi.streetsblog.org/2025/08/15/y...

We mean, really, who designed the 34th Ward, Hermann Rorschach?

The city council designed it, in 2022, under Mayor Lightfoot. 43 Alders approved it and the dissenters argued that the law needs to be changed to take the ward maps out of the city council's hands. This gerrymandering is *nothing like* what's happening in Texas blockclubchicago.org/2022/05/16/c...

Nothing beats the 8-bit insanity of the 15th Ward. Because Ray Lopez clearly represents the interests of Greater Englewood.

💯 We actually need an independent ward map commission, the fact that alders draw their own maps is ridiculous. It's had massive implications and impacted me directly. I also think we need less wards, 50 is way too many. NYC has 51 city council members and LA has only 16.
