Whomever meets the moment is going to be someone who can overturn the current reality. Plain and simple. Demanding that someone be perfect for an individual agenda - no matter how justified it may be - is guaranteed to allow the current reality to continue. Keeping the people divided is THEIR goal.

Why do you believe anyone is demanding perfect?

Because of the obvious expectations of 2/3 of eligible voters last November. If you are not voting against the worst candidates on the ballot (or if you are not even looking at the ballot), you do not deserve to live in a civilized society. Exhibit A: The USA of August 2025.

Yall are the ones dividing us. We’re saying wake up and stop electing fascists even if they have a D next to their name. I suggest you get with the program.

Don't really know how you can say that to me. The bottom line of my response is that we are all in this together, or we will all fail individually. The only thing we ALL have to agree on is that if we don't get our collective shit together, we are all totally fucked.

Then agree with us that the Dems keep putting forward bad candidates, be vocal about it and maybe we’ll get better ones? Yknow, democracy…?

There are plenty of decent Democrats out there, but the party as an institutional whole has lost its way. As always -- vote. Vote in the primaries, vote in the generals. Get out and vote at every opportunity. If people vote every time against the worst candidate, the winners get better.

Voting thus far has not worked out well. Dems must actively seek worthy Politicos. If Dems truly want to win, seek some 1 else. Democrats have 3 years to find some 1 else. So, if Democrats are serious about winning? Dems better hop to it & find a good alternate.

Actually, voting worked out pretty well for a couple of centuries. It was only when the average American became poorly educated and apathetic that voting turned bad. The decline is NOT a purely 21st Century phenomenon. The forces of darkness have been ascendent for forty years.

So then don’t nominate Newsom

I don't nominate anybody. My priority is not to get good ones in -- for over 50 years my vote has been cast to keep the worst of them out. Until 2016, that philosophy worked reasonably well.
