And while one might reasonably say that some of those opinions are contradictory, or have implications based on demonstrable connections between two ideas, it's not always accurate to say "well they obviously know this so they are a vile centrist".

People make a lot of decisions based on how something makes them feel! That's neither moral or immoral on its face, it can be a force for all sorts of behavioral or ideological changes. I'm not going to tell you whether to get into arguments, I'm tired and old. Just don't assume systemic thinking.
