You don't think Rs will nuke the filibuster? It only takes a majority vote. Because the senate is malapportioned the majority will always skew Republican. They could do it. And if Dump asks them to do it they will.

There are still enough repubs unwilling to kill the filibuster. Thune got majority leader in part because he promised those senators to abide the current rules. I know it is scary to trust that lot but I think they’ll hold the line on the rules.

Nuking the filibuster will not be a stretch from where they are now. They pulled the shenanigans to avoid the parliamentarian's call about the tax cuts. Today shows they really don't care anymore.
