No matter which president, that was my view of the US government. Why do we have to be world cop? The Bushes galvanized that issue sending thousands to their death over time.

The USG became the "Cops of the World" in order to protect "American Interests", i.e., the interests of US multinational corporations and those who own them. Our leaders, from both parties, hired local strong men, who promised to be anti-communist, so that US corporations could build a quasi-empire.
