South Park was watched by tons of very young kids who did not understand the sarcasm or satire. “Gingers have no soul,” STUCK with them and they used it to bully their peers It was a CARTOON FFS! And it did real harm Neither of which can be said about All in the Family.

The toxic thing there is letting children watch mature content. Like, I don't have any love for South Park, but “think of the children” is a terrible argument for a show made for adults. If children watched South Park that's a failure of parenting.

It’s like The Simpsons. I didn’t let my child watch it until she understood the humor.

Exactly. Both South Park and the Simpsons are shown at night. They are very adult (ok, immature adults 😆) oriented cartoons.

That sounds like a parenting problem, not a Matt Stone or Trey Parker problem. What IS toxic is this silly idea that absolutely everything has to be child friendly.
