These are strawman arguments. Lots of reasonably rational folks hear stories from other countries about socialized medicine causing extreme wait times, quality of care declining, etc due to overloading the system and are justifiably concerned.
Unfortunately the non sugar coated reply is "you're right, those are problems with socialized systems, but they're also a huge problem with our current system - we just pay 10x as much for the same problem."
