It's well worth reading about. The Tiktok video is pretty limited. This was a thriving major society with 10-20,000 inhabitants. A mixture of escaped slaves, indigenous people and some Portuguese soldiers who went AWOL. Highly sophisticated army that fought off multiple invasions before falling.
