DOL is trying to take away minimum wage and overtime from millions of workers. Just thought I’d mention that.

Reagan's trickledown economics. 13 US billionaires in 1980 and just shy of a trillion dollar National Debt. Add undermining public services in the form of privatization. 45 years later there are 800+ US billionaires and a 33 trillion dollar National Debt. An economy designed to create trillionaires.

Protect 2025 said, something to the effect, that employers will be able to base overtime on a new standard, not a 40 hr work week. Example, they can extend it to so many hours over as month or whatever they see fit. At least that’s what I think I remember reading in it.

work week would be replaced by a work month so an overage in one week could be offset by cutting hrs the following week, it would also allow for a monthly paycheck not weekly or bi-monthly, also adjusts the 35hr wk to 40hrs eliminating much OT, 2,080 hr work yr vs 1820hrs, big issue for hrly workers

Lowering the minimum wage will be their solution to high prices (they think the prices will fall to match), It will also allow them to have an excuse to cut social security. If there is one thing I have learned in life, once a price rises, it never goes down.

I mentioned this days ago. Trump, his handlers and their thugs HAVE been following Project 2025❗️ One of the next steps in Project 2025 was to removed workers protections, including repealing the Davis-Bacon Act of 1931. As I recall, it was around page 604 of Project 2025.

The Davis-Bacon Act is a US federal law that requires contractors and subcontractors working on public works projects to pay their laborers and mechanics the locally prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits. Enacted in 1931, it aims to protect local workers and communities from underbidding by contractors offering lower wages. The act applies to contracts exceeding $2,000 for construction, alteration, or repair of public buildings or public works. e Here's a more detailed breakdown: Purpose: The primary goal of the Davis-Bacon Act is to ensure that workers on federally funded or assisted construction projects receive fair wages, which are equivalent to the prevailing wage rates in the local area where the work is being performed, according to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (•gov). • Scope: It covers a wide range of construction activities, including new construction, alterations, and repairs of public buildings and public works projects. o Wage Rates: The act mandates the payment of locally prevailing wage rates, which are determined by the Department of Labor (DOL). These rates can include basic hourly rates and fringe
