So, the base doesn't vote, the base complains, and you think all that will change if the politicians tell them that they should vote. When does personal responsibility enter the picture? I don't know about you, but I get flooded with campaign material via the mail.

Where does personal responsibility enter for the dems? Are they helpless little babies or can they give people something to vote for instead of just against?

having an actual personality backed with an actual spine to do hard politics, along with good rhetoric, would be a start. not the endless deluge of emails and texts that read as spam saying “NAME, you’re not gonna believe this… Can I count on $5 from you today?”

i mean come on, you can’t tell me that the difference between Jeffries and Mamdani isn’t night and day, and there’s a reason the former is infuriating the base while the latter is galvanizing it. the answer is pretty simple.

yeah, everyone gets flooded with campaign material in the mail. so it seems "hey, i'm campaigning with liz cheney, here's why trump is right about crime but why we should use publicly accountable police instead of secret police to solve it. please give me money." isn't a winning message!

the problem is the only message that the democrats have is "get out and vote", nothing else. they have consistently failed to appeal to their own ideas without reactively capitulating to right-wing premises. that was the case with clinton, that was the case with harris, and it continues today.

That's nonsense. Bill Clinton was the ONLY president in recent history who was actually able to balance our budget. And Biden sorted out the COVID mess Trump left him. Anyway, we had good reason to vote to keep the Orange dude from f'ing things up even more, & too many sexist Democrats didn't vote.
