What scares me the most about this successful anti-Israel PR campaign is who is behind it? I don't know the answer to that. It started two days after the attack on Israel. Before the shelling and siege. People from paid troll farms(?) posting images from other wars.

? I don't know about that. It's not only PR. The enormity of their actions is on record. Medical professionals report on what they see in Gaza. I think it's wrong--morally wrong--to imply it is just PR. And Israel has been horrendous for decades anyway.

Genocide is a term that is poorly defined. If it just means killing, are all wars genocide? Maybe. Stomping out our neighbors is a frequent result of war. We often start wars because people are seen as "the other." Not our nationality, religion, tribe, party, family. Someone gets power. People die.

Also, I appreciate the politeness, but I have to mute this thread now. To defend Israel in any way at this point seems too abhorrent to me. They are set to raze a population that is half children. They are just indefensible.

My reply ended up to the wrong post. I noted that scholars are calling it genocide because Israel systematically seems set on wiping out a whole people, killing children and bombing hospitals. And it's monstrous no matter what other term you use. It shocks the conscience.

I know it's not an exact term, but scholars are now calling Israel's actions in Gaza, genocide. Israel is systematically trying to wipe out the people. They're killing children point-blank. It sounds like it meets the criteria. In any event, it is monstrous.
