By the way, the great thing about Newsom is that he is NOT a coward, like Trump. When he decided to frame same sex marriage in SF, he went all for it until it was instituted. He did not care less about the stupidity some had to say about it. He has courage, like Whitmer and Beshear.
As a long-time Californian (I've also lived in NJ & NY), I'm proud that Gavin Newsom is setting himself up to be the #1 contender in 2028 -- by bringing the same pummeling, prize-fighter approach to Putin's Pedo Puppet that Biden began his campaign in April, 2019. Go, Gavin!
I don't hate him. I recognize he's flawed, but he's doing something only a small handful of other dems are doing, and that's going after trump with force and venom. It's not left vs. center. It's fighters vs. appeasers.

Most people I know like our Governor. He’s not perfect, but, that’s ok.
He's never gonna be my first choice for 2028. But he's doing important work right now, as much as I may dislike him.

He's a weasel, but he's *our* weasel, dagnabbit. Or to put it differently, I don't think I'll ever *trust* him entirely, he's a little too politically flexible. But he's been on the side of angels more often than not, and he's stepping up to the moment in a big way. So, kudos.
