When someone gets old enough that cognitive decline happens. It absolutely affects their ability to govern. There's a reason that the general retirement age is 65. The body and brain start to go downhill after that.
Gabe, my mother-in-law is 90 years old and has no problem driving. I do know the DMV does give drivers test to those over a certain age and I think that's a good idea. But just because someone is older doesn't mean they can't do things. I think the problem has more to do with term limits.
Just because they can do something doesn't mean they can do it well. I think the baby boomer politicians have done more than enough damage to this country. The first generation of Americans to leave the economy worse off for the future should probably step aside right now.
