They are a massive part of the problem. Those 5 years of austerity are one of the reasons we are where we are.

Labour were the problem - and still are . Can you remember what happened between 2008 & now ? Especially Labours shameful record of actions/in actions THAT is largely why we (UK) are in the mess we are now . Stop blaming others .

See. You are even spewing out Tory garbage about the global financial crash being the fault of Labour.

Gordon Brown - remember him? As Chancellor he had his ‘golden rules ‘ - careful fiscal management of the economy. He broke his rules before he became PM by spending MORE than the record tax receipts the Government was receiving. On top of this massive £ PFIs

G Browns massive borrowing on spending before the financial crisis meant the govt was likely to lose their AAA rating . This meant higher interest repayments if we borrowed heavily.

Basically a Labout gov maxed out the UKs credit card. & massive borrowing was off the cards when the crash came . Vince Cable Lib Dem warned time & time again when Labour was spending madly this could happen.

And paid a heavy price for it at the ballot box. I think of the 72 current Lib Dem MPs only five were there during the coalition years + IIRR a couple of them were serial rebels.
