We need to talk about Mercedes and Kimi Antonelli. Kimi can be a star of the future. His feeder record and his evident talent are there. However, his arrival in F1 in a Mercedes was, in my humble opinion, premature and has been more of a marketing ploy than a supporting environment. 1/

Absolutely! What made him going was his “don’t give a damn” attitude and an entourage that was hyper aggressive in their belief. I think Kimi has other needs and attitude. Max and Charles being protective of him speaks volumes.
Why on earth are they giving him a stand in Monza and a single fanzone appearance? Why did he have a DOCUMENTARY about him before he completed a single lap? Merc are bleeding from losing Lewis, but this is not it. Unnecessary pressure for a kid who quite clearly feels it. 2/
Toto Wolff going around that he just wants to cuddle and hug Kimi cause he is sad is pathetic. Why? Just why? Kimi's been on record that Bottas has been helping him. Bottas is going away. Russell has bigger fish to fry and has no time to babysit; his goal (of course) is to squash this kid. 3/
Right now Kimi Antonelli's in a very bad place, torpedoes people the second he sees a minuscule opportunity, has very limited race IQ. But the wet dreams regarding a "Verstappen model" won.Max was a nightmare on the grid himself, but he learned and, importantly, never gave a damn what was said. 4/
Antonelli right now is put under pressure in Italy (again, stands in Monza) and in Mercedes. Toto's taking yacht trips all over the place. How are Mercedes helping this kid besides sappy declarations and marketing schemes? If they're not careful, they're ruining his career. Simple as.
