As a matter of fact, they have. Just told the world to collect import taxes at origin (trying to change to DDP terms - which is not true DDP) and make sure the import taxes are paid to the U.S. of A. (they might have made a deal with Paypal).

There is confusion about how this new import tax will be handled. As reported, several countries paused shipping to the US bc they claim: "new rules require more complex customs procedures" that they have not prepared to perform." (google AI overview), So, small biz loses, the paypal mafia wins?
