The amount of times I've gone to a family function where the rule was "no politics" only to have to endure countless political jabs, only the be yelled at when I, or my wife, inevitably pushed back... And I wanna be clear, this was manageable before Trump. He changed everything for the worse.

This is exactly how abuse dynamics work & I am once again pointing out conservative ideology mirrors IPV dynamics. The abuser gets to abuse, the victim pushing back or calling out the problem is the one causing disruption & making everyone uncomfortable.
