I’m guessing with Elf, it is more that Matt is trying to rebrand to regain his old audience because his newly factory chiseled jaw wasn’t attracting a male fanbase like he had hoped and his career was sinking fast after his specials. That Elf allowed him a second chance… that defies explanation.
