I'd played a bit of it when it first came out, but only played all the way through it just earlier this year and was completely enchanted by it. There's some real zhuzh there; even as a souls game fan, it's got something unique and special about it.

Yeah, that's how we ended up feeling about it too. I was expecting a more rudimentary Souls experience as it was the first? But it nails so much right from the get-go, and as you say had its own special magic.
