There are always ppl thriving under fascists regimes. The chosen sycophant few. The rest exist in fear and misery.

Polls asking Chileans what they thought of Pinochet, 40% had a positive view of him. In the 1932 elections, the Nazi party got 37% of the vote. Hitler's popularity grew after he took office. Dictatorships are usually able to garner at least 40% approval with 20% no opinion and 40% against.

Not sure what point you are trying to make… this data doesn’t show that people approve of dictators or that they make people’s lives better fascists control info so ppl are cut off from critical news. & ppl get disappeared for objecting to despots, would they say the truth in a state survey?

I could go on. In general about 30% of a population has a net preference for authoritarian leadership… Satisfaction ratings must be analysed in context. In a past life I always told clients that less than 80% satisfaction was a problem

You remember? From 1933 to 1941, things were going pretty well for Germany. I've just finished reading 6 books on the history of Nazi Germany. I'm on my 7th. And under Chavez in Venezuela, the economy didnt really start falling apart until 10 years later.

Without saying what you’re reading, the number of books you have read is *the lowest possible level of information, about your knowledge of nazi Germany*. 1934, people started getting murdered.. the numbers snowballing on into a hellscape. If you’re delusional enough to think that’s good.. ur lost.

No. I think it's horrible. The worst tragedy in the world. Hitler was the worst. But a lot of Germans loved Hitler. When when he came to power, for Germans he righted the wrongs of the Treaty of Versailles and annexed Austria and Czechoslovakia without war. THEY liked that.

Turns out those get-rich-quick schemes had consequence, though.
