Cave Story. This is one of my best friend's favorite games, so I'm disappointed that it didn't click with me. I didn't notice any flaws, honestly, there was just nothing about the game that I ended up enjoying. It was all just "good".

Resident Evil: Zero. Nowhere near as bad as I've heard people say. In fact, I enjoyed it despite it's flaws. The partner mechanic and lack of item boxes sucks, and the story is not great, but the gameplay and puzzles were all solid. Rebecca is great and Billy wasn't too bad either.

Shantae: Risky Revolution. Controversies aside, I enjoyed it. The plane switching gimmick was underutilized, but it doesn't have major flaws otherwise. Better than 1 & Risky's Revenge, certainly. But Pirate's Curse remains king, and Seven Sirens has the superior control and transformation system.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2. I liked it, but I played in single player when it's clearly meant for Co-op. The different roles the partner characters serve is executed great, and I liked how ammo actually felt precious as I played. I also got super addicted to the Raid Mode.

Resident Evil 5. Man, this game is GREAT. Even in single-player, I love RE5. Yeah, it's not scary, but the action is intense, and I needed to make each shot count. There's also so much extra content and unlockables packed in there. It's a sublime package.

Resident Evil Revelations. The 3DS version is nostalgic for me, and I finally tried the HD port. I still love it. The ship is such a cool setting, and it's great having Chris and Jill on a team again. Raid mode is a great bonus mode, too. The dialogue is so bad, though. Comically bad.

Slay the Princess. A wonderfully unique and replayable visual novel. The pencil sketch art style is an inspired choice, a really cool visual identity. It's hard to talk about without spoilers, but if you like visual novels, I strongly encourage picking up The Pristine Cut.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. Another forgettable anime arena fighter to add to the pile. Making a hero is admittedly kinda fun, and the combat is fine. But the animations are stiff, hardly befitting of One Punch Man, and the mid combat system is all you really do.

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Impact. It's Naruto, but with Dynasty Warriors gameplay. A great match! I was disappointed by the roster, and the levels aren't as tight as other Warriors games. But I still had a lot of fun, and there's quite a lot of content stuffed in here!

Shinobi 3. In prep for (hopefully) my physical copy of Art of Vengeance, I played Shinobi 3. Very good game. I struggled a lot, not sure if it's tough or because I barely play Genesis games. Never realized how much inspiration Shinobi 3D took from this game, many levels felt familiar to me.

Also, did they update the A.I partner in the PS4 rerelease? I remember tons of complaints about the partner's A.I and how stupid they are, but I never had any problems outside of the odd exception. Did I just get lucky?

Just finished a Wesker mode run of RE0. Playing on a harder difficulty showed me a few more of the games flaws (that Bat boss is a nightmare), but I still enjoyed myself. I'm definitely much softer on this game than others.
