Police were already on scene when the car Rudy was riding in drove by on the other side of the highway. Why would a victim of DV flag him down in his car across 8 lanes of highway in the middle of the night while surrounded by troopers and fire/rescue?

That weird nonsense is attempting to imply cause and effect, which kind of works if you don't know it was on a massive highway. As if he was rammed because he helped the woman. But the police, as you say, state he was in the other side of road, a passenger and hit by a teen girl.

I think, with nothing to back this up, his driver was rubbernecking at the police across the highway and wasn't paying attention so the person behind went into him. They've forced the DV victim issue to muddy the waters...

But why muddy the waters? Why make a statement at all? Or why embellish? The statement creates more questions than it answers. Maybe they just want attention.

We're yet to find out I suppose. I assume he was doing something dodgy or they wouldn't be trying to get ahead of it by making him a hero - would have just been a reckless teen driver. Evidently got a terrible spin doctor!
