When Democrats are in power, Congressional Republicans unify in opposition. When the GOP holds power, Dems splinter, which surrenders. Lesson they don't learn, they'll never outflank the GOP from the right, it just encourages more concessions

That could have been true if they actually locked Trump up and ran a candidate who wasn't a Republican-Lite. They did neither of those things, so now the Dems are going to fall apart and the Republicans are going to regroup stronger than ever.

Like it or not, Fetterman and Gallego are doing what the majority of the voters in their state want. The voters are to blame.

Man, these Democrats are making it real hard to argue against those who don't vote becuase "there is no difference between the two parties". Seriously, how do we try to turn recent non-voters into voters if this is the alternative? There is no "GOP-Lite" vote.

The other side is for keeps with real people's lives, and Dems play "collaborate until the next swing election." There are a lot of us Dem life voters on the cusp of going NeverDem for life, and elected dems are stupidly looking at polls trying to ride it out. The pendulum won't swing back.

I hadn't heard about that, but he's done well by his former city Braddock, and was widely admired for standing with workers, LGBTQ rights, cannabis, etc. I wonder whether the stroke affected his mental processes, but certainly allow the possibility we've all been duped. Either way, never again.
