Chislic is actually a real food in South Dakota! It always comes up on those YouTube videos about each state’s most famous food.

IIRC chislic is cubed meat (beef or game) either grilled or deep-fried with a dipping sauce eaten with toothpicks. I’ve had it once made with venison.
