TBH, homeless people don’t tend to vote, and with all the frustration at finding effective solutions to the homeless crisis, I’m betting that the constituency that is glad to see homeless camps cleaned up is much larger than the one that thinks Newsom was wrong to do it.

I understand this impulse, but what I’d like to remind my fellow Democrats is that we are very bad at assessing electability. Kerry vs. Dean? I don’t know that Dean wins in ‘04 but Kerry’s chief attribute over Dean was electability and he lost.

That's why you vote against Newsom if he's on a primary ballot. As for "perfect being the enemy of good," who would you like to sacrifice? Homeless people? (I was homeless for eleven years.) Transgender people? Got any more groups that should be sacrificed?
Elect the GOP and you get all of those bad things IMO
