Students don’t need chromebooks and AI tutors, they need Shakespeare and Jane Austen and the Greek myths, they need the Arthurian Legends and the Arabian Nights, they need constant exposure to nature, fairytales, folklore, poetry and beauty.

Started teaching GT this year. Trying to balance all of the tech focus that comes with it with humanities. Because humanities makes us human.

That’s what we gave our kid, especially the mythology (Norse, Chinese, Greek, Irish - any we could find). She is about to turn 21 & she’s a fucking genius and a problem-solver and a thinker. When I see people handing babies a phone or iPad to hush them, it sickens me. Kids don’t need screens.
