I would be anything that OpenAI has a trove of docs titled like "Safety Assessment" (in addition to the pile of Privacy assessments I'm sure they pretend help ensure privacy). They should be getting prepared to preserve all docs right about now.

Agreed. And every other language model should be paused or pulled until strict safety measures are confirmed in place. If we can’t put the genie back in the bottle, at least we can take away the knives it uses to kill people. In any case this should be the end of Altman’s model all together

Outside of niche uses within specialised areas I can not think of a reason LLM's should be anywhere near people day-to-day. At scale they've proven to be horribly inefficient energy wise, utterly unreliable, totally untrustworthy, and the training data makes them a (C) nightmare.

It hallucinates, does not operate in a logical or rational way, and people have demonstrably nudged LLM's off their preset guard rails (i.e. grannies bedtime napalm recipe). It isn't sentient and can't understand but it pretends it can. LLM's are not for public consumption or interaction IMHO.
