My biggest issue is safe storage. We need to have laws requiring safe storage to not only protect children, but many illegal guns are obtained through theft.

In U.K., my father had a shotgun (he shot pheasants 🤷🏻). At least once a year randomly the police would come and check that it was in a locked cabinet and hidden from view. When someone is shot here, it’s big news because it happens so rarely.

Make gun safes compulsory, then provide a tax deduction for their purchase. Win-win-win-win (safety/gun owner/manufacturer/retailer.)
