They seem to be warehouse space mostly, or space for detention. Did I read that right?
There are all kinds of companies included: everything from tactical gear and surveillance software to parking spaces and copy machine leases.
Thank you. When I enlarged the map in Oregon there were 3 spots that, when I zoomed in, appeared to be generic businesses in large buildings. I assumed it was just space but your explanation helped.
Ah, yes--for some reason the map will sometimes show businesses from Google Maps when you zoom in. Only the ones with these colored pins are from the list. If you click on them from a browser, it should open up information about the company and a contract link for USAspending.gov.
