As an autistic mom of autistic children, I know my genes caused my kids to be autistic. Cause research is so often done by folks who want to eradicate us, which is impossible. How about research on how to HELP AND SUPPORT US???

A lot of research we see is around finding ways to diagnose earlier and the causes of Autism. There are also a lot of programs that look at support. Where I think we lack is resources and support for adults. Sadly, a lot of help ends after the age of 18.

Can confirm there is no support for adults.I just don’t think the cause research is worth it - research should be focused on autistic priorities - but folks don’t listen to us, ever really.
