And the response by the press and then the public was to ridicule him with a word - malaise - that he never actually said.
Wow!! Virtually no one these days can match the eloquence of this speech. I’m so glad this was shared here. I was too young when he gave this speech to have heard it. I appreciate it ever so much now. We didn’t know how much of a gem this man was when he was President.
