I got stuck in Brandish 1 on PSP but I had a damn good time getting to that point, I felt like I was playing a weird Apple IIGS game. I wish they would have remade the second one! Or maybe I should just go in on the original hardware like a true sicko

Yeah, if the remake is as slavish to the original as I've read it is (I only played a little bit of that prior to diving into the SNES game), there are definitely some puzzles later on that I just lost my patience with and checked a guide since I enjoy the core dungeon crawling the most, ahaha.

But yeah, between this and my love of Xanadu Next, I'm realizing that maybe my favorite Falcom is the dungeon crawler kind and wish they'd remade 2 also, ahaha. FWIW, while the perspective shift obviously isn't as smooth on PSP, it is snappy, which, coupled with the minimap, helps keep my bearings.

I will say if you decide to play 2, you'll probably wanna read the manual beforehand to learn the controls. SNES Brandish I think handles somewhat differently than the remake. It's been a smooth enough transition coming from 1, but there are no in-game tutorials at all, so... yeah, ahaha.
