Yeah, that's possible in terms of "policies". But I can't see anyone else garnering the slavish devotion that has made him especially dangerous to America. It's hard to imagine the base following Vance or anyone else with the same mindless, murderous zeal.
Trump is a fake giant surrounded by real pygmies. The pygmies don't have his influence. Once Trump checks out, the pygmies fight among themselves. Trump is the only thing really holding the GOP together. Once he goes, the GOP falls apart.
