There were a few days when I lost my shit. I was afraid I was going to be detained at the airport because my US passport shows that I was born in a foreign country. I was afraid that I could be disappeared because because my skin is brown. I’m one of 4 ppl of color at my place of employment.
I got tired of being afraid. My parents sent me to the US to live a better life - and I have. I’ve achieved a level of affluence that insulates me from 75% of this nonsense - but there are so many others who are vulnerable and I’m mad as hell and I’m fighting for them. Living in fear is bullshit.
And maybe just being angry us enough to keep us focused. But one day it’s the FAA, then it’s USAID, NOAA, what the fuck happened to the CDC? That’s so important that we’re hearing zero from the CDC and we’re focused on Tesla stock. We have to focus on a single issue. Otherwise, we’re herding cats.
