Whew! Lots of feelings out there. Most of them healthy. Keep talking, people. This is how we figure it out.

Trans folks voted overwhelmingly for Harris. Since then we feel betrayed, that commitment to our rights is being abandoned by the party in general, and Newsom in particular. A vote for Newsom would be hoping a future generation might win back the rights he’ll give away. Might be our only hope.
But I agree with others it’s way too early to declare him the nominee, so I’m hoping for a better candidate and better from the party between now and then.
He's pushing the right buttons now, but it was only a few months ago he was platforming some pretty questionable people on his podcast. He's a classic "whichever way the wind blows" politician, and many people can see that. Those of us who can, will treat him the same way... useful until he isn't.
Exactly that. Right now he’s useful because he’s playing Trump and doing it well. The bottom line for me is that I’ll do what it takes to get the current leadership, specifically the gop, out. We live in Idaho, we know what having to “hold our noses” for the greater good is like.
Yes, and a shake-up in party leadership. They’re stale.
What does this mean I need details
I made a post about “never Newsom”. Sparked a lot of feelings. 😬
A LOT of feeling. And I didn't read your post as being pro-Newsom. I read it (maybe mis-read it?) as pointing out that choosing to not vote in the general election last November - as a protest - got us the White House we have now. 👉 "Keep talking, people. This is how we figure it out." 👈
You read it right.
