Checked out a couple of books on Autism. One is by Temple Grandin. The introduction is so good. She lays out more than just what she’s going to discuss (visual thinking) but hammers the US for where we are in manufacturing. It is all related. Good stuff. #Autism
Animals in Translation is a great book! And helped me conduct myself around animals so much better. I think she came here to help with the design of the beef plant outside of Kuna.
Temple Grandin is an amazing human being. She wrote a great book on humanely harvesting animal proteins. I try to only purchase animal proteins which have been humanely harvested according to her standards.

I got another book written by three moms of kids with autism. I want to learn as much as I can.

Just looked — the doc I was thinking of was a 2006 BBC Horizon episode called “The Woman Who Thinks Like a Cow.” It was great! I’ll have to check out the HBO movie — thanks!

I’m a small animal vet but at a big conference she was there talking about cattle handling so I sat in on that session just to hear her for an hour. She’s a very engaging speaker and those big burly bovine vets respect the hell out of her.
Temple often visits Idaho, including Lewiston. Looks like she has a busy schedule staying primarily on the east side.
