Many of them would be happy to see me and my girlfriend dead or in a labor camp. I am giving them no sympathy.

I also have no sympathy. But a solution to our vast problems doesn't include sitting around blaming them for exercising the right promised to every citizen whether we agree with it or not.

They asked for it, they got it. They can deal with it. I'm not going to listen to them whine about it with anything but a smile, nor am I going to go running around feeling bad for them. Plenty of other people who didn't ask for this are going to be hurting, and I'm rationing my empathy for them.
