Fun Fact: May 5, 1945 Nazis were keeping French prisoners at Castle Itter in Austria. US soldiers arrived to fight the Waffen-SS (Nazi Secret police) only to find German Major Josef Gangl had turned against the Nazis & was there w/soldiers 2 protect them! Only time US & Germans were allies in WW2!
