This is disturbing in many ways. Mississippi ranks last in almost every major health outcome, and healthcare access, and also has the lowest life expectancy of any state. It’s also near the bottom in education. The new law only makes free speech, and access to learning, harder.

Mississippi is both an embarrassment & a disgrace. For decades when the Soviet Union wanted to point out just how bad life was in the US, it would point out some of the terrible things going on in Mississippi (& Alabama & a few other states). So much there hasn't changed, but become even worse.
