Message from the heart: What’s happening in our Country is an abomination. It’s overwhelming. At the same time, many people are dealing with personal issues such as loss of a loved one, bad health news, financial issues, relationship struggles, abuse. These are hard things in normal times.
Yes. A week ago I was at the memorial for a friend I'd known for 60 years. Other things don't vanish so we can concentrate on one thing. ANY one thing.
This “administration” is adding unnecessary complexity to our already complex lives. People need to do whatever they can to keep their hope and resistance alive, strong. Take a break, go for a walk out in nature, whatever it is- then come back and fight with us. Together we are POWERFUL!!

Finally, we have those dealing with hard things where this Regime and newsfeed is making it worse. Our trans community and their loved ones, brown and black people being targeted (while working hard and improving their lives), those who get food assistance. Firefighters 🙄. The list is too long.
Please do me this favor today: Reach out to someone and check-in. It’s good for you and them. It can be virtual (choose a follower on Bluesky?) or you can call a family member. How doesn’t matter. Just make sure others know they are seen and valued. Love to you all. Keep up the good fight.

TY for posting this. I explained to my adult child that this mess won't be cleaned up in my lifetime, if we can find our way out of it. I am snarky and bitchy online because I don't want to fall victim to hopelessness. I'll fight as long as I can and I expect the same from others.
