There is now a legal finding (not an administrative decision) that could serve, under an updated fairness doctrine, as evidence of the violation of the rights of an informed

continue as an opinion/entertainment network, but not present itself as something it failed to do. Defamation, or massive judgments, class action suits, whatever is determined to be the arbiter of "fairness" (again, not the gov) could set the stage for reset. Once rfk jr is fully unleashed,

I think that those of us who watched the news before you could openly lie about politics will miss the fairness doc... fox failed to deliver fair and balanced election news. I can't see a day when it won't fail, left to its own devices. This time we could also cover (protect) diversity as well.

You could always "openly lie about politics". Neither the Fairness Doctrine nor anything else prohibited that.

FOX News is a **cable channel**, not a broadcast station. They do not carry an FCC license and are not subject to FCC regulations or oversight.

Cable is a **subscription service**, bought and paid for by paying consumers. Therefore the programming carried on cable is considered private content intended solely for their paying customers. As such, it does not fall under the FCC's jurisdiction.

Good lord, alarmists go all the way to the other end of absurdity. Where did I say that I want anything like that to happen? I believe in the 1st amendment. As established, it also has limitations. Fair rebuttal is not kicking in doors. Chill. Jesus.

"Where did I say that I want anything like that to happen?" Did you consider the idea that anything like that is probably LIKELY to happen with this authoritarian regime in charge?

What legal finding? Dominion and Fox News settled out of court. There was no court finding of anything.

Likewise with Smartmatic and Newsmax or whoever. There was an out of court settlement.

Yes. Correct. Legally binding settlement which revealed Fox's duplicitous behavior. Same concept.

It didn't reveal anything because Fox News didn't admit to anything in it.
